The Busser/Runner/Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and the overall appearance of the restaurant while assisting servers when required, washing dishes and restocking all areas.

LIST OF DUTIES

  • Greet and assist guests  with friendliness and enthusiasm.
  • Set up the restaurant in the morning and close the restaurant down at the end of the service day
  • Clear tables promptly and properly as needed
  • Clean tabletops, chairs and floor, as needed
  • Inspect the self-serve area ensuring things are tidy, clean and stocked throughout shift
  • Deliver food to the appropriate guest(s) in a timely manner
  • Communicate and assist the front of house in stocking, cleaning, and any other requested assistance
  • Have an overall awareness of the brewpub to ensure all aspects of it are clean, presentable and inviting
  • Take initiative and ownership over all areas of the entire facility including the tables, chairs, floors, window sills, walls and other surfaces, including patio
  • Perform opening/running/closing duties according to Humble Pint policy and procedure
  • Work both independently and in a team environment
  • Maintain all Humble Pint safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Handle multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently and with an upbeat, friendly attitude
  • Interact with and handle intoxicated guests in a positive and safety-minded manner and alert server or manager of any concerns
  • Comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards
  • Adhere to and enforce all applicable local, state and federal laws, rules, and regulations

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  •      Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of application
  •      Able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check
  • Valid ServSafe or applicable State or County Food Handler Certification required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a love for meeting and interacting with people
  • Thorough attention to detail and desire to take initiative
  • Must adhere to company’s policies and procedures
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
  • Opening, running, closing shift availability required
  • Able to be active for prolonged periods
  • Able to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds
  • Able to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
  • Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, and kneel
  • Able to lift heavy objects to shoulder height
  • Able to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds
  • Able to both work and thrive in a high-stress environment that has a moderate noise level
  • Able to read and follow written English instructions
  • Able to safely navigate the front of house, patio and kitchen, including crowded spaces
  • Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise and occasionally slippery floors
  • Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards
